SMALL PAINTINGS, A SECRET WORTH KEEPING
I’m delighted to be taking part again in the Royal West of England Academy (RWA) Secret Postcard Auction, contributing two original postcards painted in acrylic on watercolour paper.
Working on this small scale is a pleasure. Each brushstroke matters, and I really enjoy bringing the colour, light and expressive marks of my larger paintings into postcard-sized work.
The subjects will remain a secret for now - that’s part of the fun! It’s a chance to choose a painting that catches your eye before discovering the artist behind it.
My contributions over the past 2 years have raised £240 and £440 with 46 bidders, and it’s been lovely to see these small originals find new homes whilst supporting the RWA.
I’m looking forward to to discovering which postcards catch your eye this year. If you’re considering starting an art collection, or even adding something small and individual to an existing one, do take a look the Auction.
I’ll share the details here when the bidding opens.
